Before Your Appointment

    • Discontinue Retin-A (Tretinoin), and Vitamin-A (Retinol) 1 month prior.

    • Discontinue lash growth serums at least 3-6 months prior

    • Avoid extensive sun exposure and sunburn on the face

    • No Botox or fillers

    If you’re taking antibiotics for any medical purposes, please reschedule for 2 weeks after your final dose.

    • Avoid alcohol and caffeine

    • Avoid NSAIDs (Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Naproxen), some vitamins and blood thinning medication/supplements for 48-72 hours. Tylenol/Acetaminophen is ok to consume)

    If any of the above are taken for medical purposes, please consult with your physician.

    • Eyelash extensions should be removed 3 days prior.

    • No lash lifts or tints at least 3 days prior.

    • No eye makeup on the day of.

    • If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses on the day of your appointment.

After Your Appointment

  • With CLEAN hands, splash your eyes with water and wash off any pigment residue immediately after the procedure.

  • Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.

  • Wash the skin around the eyes twice a day (morning & night) using a gentle, unscented soap (Cetaphil or baby wash). Use your fingertips to cleanse gently and pat dry with a clean tissue.

  • Apply ointment 2-3 times a day for up to 7 days (only for Shaded, Ombre Eyeliner).

    • Blot with a tissue, don’t rub during healing

    • Be careful when putting on or taking off clothes over the head

    • Perfecting/follow-up touch-up appointments should take place 2-8 weeks following the initial brow procedure

    • No excessive sweating, saunas/spas for 7-14 days

    • No occlusive products such as Vaseline, Aquaphor, or Neosporin

    • No makeup until the scabs are completely fallen off

    • Your tattoo will peel & this is completely normal. Make sure you don’t pick on it!

    • No swimming, tanning for at least 2 weeks

    • No face scrubs or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks

    • No acidic/harsh skincare, retinols, & exfoliants near the eye area for at least 2 weeks (skincare travels within the skin!)

    • If you have any of the following medical conditions, please advise with your doctor first:

    Eczema/Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Scarring, Autoimmune Diseases, Bloodborne conditions such as HIV or Hepatitis, Diabetes, Cancer, Bacterial Infections, Shingles/Cold Sores, History of Keloids, Glaucoma, Allergic to Lidocaine, Epilepsy, Cosmetic surgery/procedure etc

    • Cancer patients & pregnant/breastfeeding women:
      please consult with your physician first & receive a written clearance to get tattooed.

    • Use of Retin A/Retinol/Tretinoin, chemical, acid peels, or any rapid skin exfoliation products used on or around the eye area will cause the permanent makeup of the eye area to fade prematurely

    • Allergic reactions: It may be rare but red pigments cause the most allergic reactions out of all colors. Spot testing will not be done at PMU Katalog due to the late reactions of the allergy. The skin may start itching and cracking for no reason starting 6 months to a year. If you’d like, you can spot test at an allergy center before you get your eyes tattooed.

    If you take Accutane, please wait at least one year after completing Accutane treatment.

    • Avoid anything that opens the pores, such as oil-based products, steam, or heat, as this can reduce pigment retention.

    • Treatments like facials, microneedling, and laser rejuvenate the skin, which may cause it to reject pigment more quickly as it works to heal and renew itself.
